Our 2008 team is currently comprised of: Kathy Bruce (Chairman), Stacy Gentry, Jeanie Helman, Molly Shull and Annette Sites. Here's a brief bio about each of the team members that will give you a glimpse into their lives and their hearts.
Stacy Gentry is a mom of three young girls and "mom" to a Korean foreign exchange student this year. Her husband pastors New Hope U.B. Church (Michigan) where Stacy uses her talents playing the piano, teaching Junior Church and helping out with the Women's Ministry. Stacy comments "I enjoy being a mom and wife and one of my life's verses is from Titus 2 and that is to be a 'lover of my husband and children.' I enjoy cooking and entertaining people in our home, but my favorite past time is spending time with my family." Stacy spent many wonderful years at Rhodes Grove Camp (PA), and formerly taught English in Macau (UB missions) where she met her husband! Stacy shares that "my desire in serving on the Women's Ministry Team for the denomination is to help women grow closer in their relationship with the Lord. I want to help lead women in a deeper love relationship with the Lord and to help them to learn to trust God with all of their hearts. I believe God can use any person with a willing heart for His glory, and I am so very thankful for all that He has allowed me to see and experience thus far in my life. I look forward to the future for God really does do more than we can possibly ask or imagine!"
Jeanie Helman is very busy mom of five (well, that is three sons and two daughter-in-laws!). She's a proud grandma of two (a two-year-old and a soon to be one-year-old and if you ask her, she's probably got some pictures handy of those grandbabies!). She helps keep the family dairy farm running along with her husband and son, while also holding down a part-time position at King Street U.B. Church (Chambersburg, PA) as an Elementary coordinator. Jeanie's heart for God can be heard in this statement she shared recently with us: "God has given me a love for our neighborhood children at King Street Church. Part of my responsibility as Elementary Coordinator is coordinating an After School Program two days a week. It's been a very rewarding ministry and one I envision growing to maybe 4-5 days a week with a summer program." So, while Jeanie trys to stay balanced with all her home responsibilities and those at the church she has also been a great asset to the Women's Ministry Team and enjoys being a part of a team that works to equip women for leadership!
Molly and her husband, Ken, have three daughters and just recently began the “empty nest” stage of life. Much of her energies are spent working as a camp coordinator and an area representative for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Molly enjoys every aspect of the camping experience and shares that “I can’t think of anything better than seeing kids come to know Christ as their Savior.” She and her husband attend King Street U.B. Church (Chambersburg). Molly is also active in the Women’s Ministry at King Street. Her hobbies include baking, reading, exercising and most sports. One of her lifetime verses is Deuteronomy 31:6 which says “Be strong and courageous, Do not be afraid or terrified…for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” "What a precious promise to know the God of the Universe goes with me and that he will never leave me” rejoices Molly!
Annette Sites serves alongside her pastor/husband at Jerusalem Chapel U.B. Church (Churchville, VA). She is employed part-time as the Administrative Assistant at the church and is active in teaching ministries with women and teens. She is the mother of three grown daughters and has survived - and enjoyed - two weddings and one on the way! She is a new grandma to her nine-month old grandson who lives near her in Virginia. Her passion for fellow pastor's wives is a driving force in her outreach and commitment to sharing with women from all walks of life. Annette's heart for God is seen in her willingness to share openly about the challenges and joys she experiences in her daily journey with Christ. Balancing the many demands in her schedule over the past few years is one theme you will hear her speak of from time to time, but she knows that "the only true balance in life comes from trusting wholeheartedly in God walking before her and guiding her steps!"

and last, but not least....
.
Kathy Bruce and her husband/pastor Bob currently co-leading a couples' Discipleship Class. She is also leading a Beth Moore Bible study at Emmanuel Community Church (Fort Wayne, IN) called "The Patriarchs" as well as holding down a fulltime position as a manager in the marketing department at Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company (they insure churches, so you just may hear from her!). Kathy and Bob have one daughter still at home who is about to launch them into the infamous 'empty nest' as she heads to college next Fall. One of Kathy's favorite indulgences in life is 'Date Night' with her husband at Barnes and Noble over hazelnut coffee and a good book! Kathy shares this thought about serving as chairman with the Women's Ministry Team: "I love being part of the women's ministry team since it gives me a chance to network with other ladies who are trying to balance family, work and ministry to honor the Lord. I'm ever striving to live eternally in a daily demanding world."
